Free Lauren Marsella is an artist and label whose main objective is to create and provide provocative and inspiring artwork to all who desire to view it and/or own it. Affordability and functionality are the foundation of the Free Lauren Marsella cause. Beyond that, other FLM goals include:

-discussion of forbidden love and celebrity scandal
-breathing new life into discarded objects and assigning new purpose to the purposeless
-recognizing and honoring the achievements of significant figures in various realms such as: the civil rights movement, the womens liberation movement, important artists overlooked by art history authors due to racist and/or sexist attitudes, lesser known historical figures, beloved authors, writers, musicians, thinkers, friends etc.
-challenging conventional definitions of fashion, jewelry, art and accessories
-making trouble and spreading joy
