I create illustrative oil paintings on wood that is generally found. My pieces are playful and generally cheery or ironic. I start with a line, generally in charcoal, that I make with random motions of my hand. Then I flip the piece over and over until I see something in it. Then I take that image and build it up into a finished piece. It is a bit like looking at the clouds and seeing dinosaurs.
